Why must we today, refuse to speak or get to know others and let the rivals call each other evils?
I guess people need to take some holidays to be able to travel across the globe & meet all the people, including the so-called long rival enemies.
Maybe, that would help change one’s perception.
To Nancy Pelosi & the entourage, I wish they all have a lot of fun. Enjoy the food, masssage, museum, culture, biking, trekking and camel riding in Palmyra, skiing-next door in lebanon and meet all the friendly people there!
An extract from an article from Australia:
Why Travel to Syria?
Syria is knee-deep in thousands of years of history thanks to its ‘cross-roads of cultures’ Mid-East location.
In addition to the vast collection of ancient relics from past civilizations Syria offers a colourful, non-threatening look at a current, welcoming and unspoilt Islamic culture [despite US statements to the contrary].
Tourism has been limited in Syria so locals are sincerely friendly and hospitable, unlike some neighbours that have already overdosed on visitors.
Landscapes are attractive from the eastern deserts to the green and rocky Mediterranean coast while the climate – at the right time – is terrific.
Food is excellent, travel is cheap and
Syria is a natural addition to a Turkish, Lebanese and/or Jordan trip.

You do not negotiate peace with your allies.
Shouldn’t this be in the politics section?
I just wonder what business the speaker of the house really has handling foreign affairs. That is a state department role.
I don’t think that’s what she’s there for. But I disprove of the no contact with your enemies thing.
Oh boy, that has a big chance of working. You know, we have been talking to the guys in that area since the seventies. And it has done no good.
I for one don’t think their visit was a big deal. Its a fact that Syria supports terrorism….. So I dont know do you think Pelosi should talk to bin Laden in his cave?
What we need is not talk. WE need a massive project to create a clean home based energy source. I would suggest a 1% business tax to fund it. Once its done we get ride of the tax. Oil money allows these crazy people to run countries. Without oil the middle east countries will collapse. Maybe that will teach them to do things the right way.
Too bad she didn’t stay.
