My friend went on summer holiday and she hasn’t called, emailed, or anything?

My best friend. My one and only friend that I would trust with my life went on summer holiday to Syria with her family… she called me when she was at the airport in Toronto (twice). And then she emailed me like, a week after that. And then I replied. And then she emailed me back. And then I replied. And there’s no response! She said it was hard to get on the Internet over there, but I really really miss her :/

I spent my whole summer vacation without my best friend.

I’m just a little worried because my best friend back in primary school went on vacation to like, Lebanon, and she never came back.
