How is Ramadan celebrated in Lebanon?

lebanon holiday
ѕ๏¢¢єя ∂αяℓiηg φ asked:

What are some traditions, customs, etc, that are practiced in Lebanon?

What about Jordan, Syria, Egypt; what are the traditions that you practice?
Just curious as always.

I also want to wish everyone an early happy Ramadan to anyone in this category who celebrates this holiday :)

Ramadan is all about family gatherings.
We’d eat during Iftar time even when not fasting.
There is everything on the table..:
    -Soup
    -Hummus
    -Fattouch
    -Fatteh
    -Kibbeh Nayyeh
    -Cheese rolls
    -Main Dish: Kousa/ Kibbeh.. whatever
    Drinks: Something Fresh
Dessert: Sweets and “mfat7at b jebneh”

All of this isn’t what Ramadan is about.. You’re supposed to feel with the poor not eat more than you usually do.. Unfortunately it’s practised in the wrong way.
Then after Iftar.. there is tea and we watch some series on TV…

Then at night,, there a “msa7er” who plays the drum in order to wake people up for S7our..
I tend to get annoyed by that person.. drink some water and go back to sleep.

In the end of Ramadan, a group of people called “wada3″ as in good bye play drums and sing some religious verses and knock on every door in the city… they do that for money and a minor cause which is reminding people is over.

    that’s all about it..
