What are your opinions on women (and men) who resort to plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons? It’s obviously Haram, but I would like to hear personal opinions regarding this matter. I am sure many of us are aware of plastic surgery infested places like California, Brazil, and Lebanon (just to name a few).

Kumari:

Only if you stop asking those annoying questions =)
Raw:

It sure has ended up wrong several times. Just look at Nancy Ajram, what a turn off. Thanks for your input.
Kumari:

Oh ya Allah.

Amallay:

Those are the women I’m talking about, those that have normal features and just go at it. Talk about no confidence and they still don’t have it after several jobs. They get one and they’ll want another. So sickening.

1986:

I should have clarified, I meant women who are “normal” and still go for plastic surgery.
1986:

If I had small ******* I still would consider it Haram. If a man is not happy with the way I look, then let him be. Confidence is true beauty. Your strength and ability to overcome your inner self-consciousness about the way people perceive you is beauty. Any mature, real, caring man would see that beauty in that. The struggle you overcome and the beauty you put out there. It is only invisible to those who do not want to see you for who you are and not what you are. Going by your logic, I could say I do not want to wear the Hijab because people make me feel unattractive and it’s hurting my feelings.
Kumari:

Are you talking to me? I didn’t report anyone. And I didn’t give that thumb down either.
1986:

I didn’t say you said that, but I said based on your logic. When you said “if she needs this surgery for a psychological need it will be ok depending on her intention”. But depending on my intention, it could be that I have a psychological need because I am not being accepted. It is not my intention to disobey Allah (swt), but I’m doing it for me. Is it not the same thing?
Sara:

Tell me about it. It only shows their insecurity and the corruption and unacceptance of natural women.
